About the Haikulodeon

The Haikulodeon is a weekly compilation of the haikus written by Michael Tracy Smith.   It is updated every Friday afternoon.

Michael Tracy Smith is a poet, playwright and advocate for Ankylosing Spondylitis awareness.  He is the creator of the http://www.Spondyville.com website.  He was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis in 1985 and his neck and spine have been totally fused since 1989.

He created the “April is Spondylitis Awareness Month” campaign, and “The Best Medicine” Night of Comedy Fundraisers to benefit the Spondylitis Association of America.

All haikus and poems and original photos on this site are copyright 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 by Michael Tracy Smith unless otherwise noted and may not be re-used without express written permission.

    As someone who has suffered from A.S. for over 50 years I am always happy to see anything about it on the net or anywhere. Mind you be being rather lazy by nature I find the site just too long to read through it all. Keep up the good work.

      Thank you Fred. I appreciate your feedback. I have had AS for over 30 years and it is always good to hear from a fellow ASer. Are you familiar with my other site, http://www.Spondyville.com? The Haikulodeon site and the nature of haikus in general, lets you read as much as you want and then come back later and read some more.
